WELCOME TO CUB SCOUT PACK 598

CHARTERED BY GREEN RUN HOMES ASSOCIATION

Founded in 2008 and Chartered by Green Run Homes Association since 2010.   Our Pack vision is that Scouting is for any boy who wants to join.  We believe every boy should have the opportunity to learn outdoor and leadership skill that he will use throughout his life.   We camp, hike, fish, play games of all kinds, go on outings,  have fun, do service projects and give back to our community.  We believe that boys learn by doing and being active but most importantly - we have FUN!.  We go throughout the summer, we are an all year program - we do not stop for the summer or just because stops.

So come on in, look around and see if would like to come visit.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Lori Hassett.

Cub Scouts are designed for Boys in grades 1st - 5th (ages 6-10).

Tigers:  First grade boys join a Tiger Cub den, where each boy works with an adult partner on the requirements to earn his Tiger Cub badge.  The Tiger Cub badge focus' on family, home, citizenship and community.

Wolves:  Second-grade boys belong to the Wolf den. They go to weekly den meetings on their own, but their families still help them work on the requirements for the Wolf badge.   The Wolves work on starting to learn skills that will they will use throughout their life.

Bears:  Third grade boys belong to the Bear den. They go to weekly den meetings on their own, but also have Mom and Dad's help on the requirements when needed for their Bear badge.  The Bears work on skills for God, Country, Family, and self.

WEBELOS:  Forth and Fifth Graders -- A forth grader is called a WEBELO1 and a Fifth grader is called a WEBELO2.  They go to Den meetings usually weekly and also sometimes meeting with Boy Scout Troops.  WEBELOS start the Transition to Boy Scouts and should at the end of WEBELOS at the end of 5th Grade earn the highest award in Cub Scouting, the Arrow of Light award.  WEBELOS go on more campouts and outtings than Cub Scouts and also go to own Resident camp.
